About Me

About Me

So why Luckcatcher? Well, everyone said I was extremely lucky growing up. Truth is … yea, I had a pretty smooth upbringing. I was trying to come up with something uniquely for me, and I can up with Luckcatcher as my ancestry includes Irish and Native American. I know the shamrock and dreamcatcher aren’t official symbols of either culture, but a feathered harp just isn’t up my alley. Also, I’m American so something superficial seems right anyway. You can read about the design process of Luckcatcher here. My mother eventually wanted to leave me a keepsake and commissioned someone to make me a pendant with my logo. Because mom had it made and she died some time ago, Luckcatcher means more to me than it would have normally. Funny enough, I don’t believe in luck as some sort of otherworldly chance of fortune. I do feel lucky that I was part of a tribe of people that surrounded me, and with their support and effort, my life certainly would look like Fortuna was on my side.

I’m always adding to this page, but I’ll mention any big additions here on one of my blogs from time to time.
