MMO Fatigue

The closer New World gets to launch, the more I realize that I don’t actually want to put any time into an MMO right now. Not that it isn’t interesting. More that, it’s not game changing enough to get me excited right now. It has a few innovations in the MMO space, but they aren’t enough to make it fell like some ground breaking new shit that I absolutely must try. Let’s face it, I’ve put in my MMO time. The idea of starting from scratch in another game right now, I just can’t do it.

In my last post, I said I always have Guild Wars 2 to fall back on so I’m good if I ever feel the need to jump on an MMO. Mainly, I’ve been enjoying kicking it old-school with single player / story driven / party based RPGs. I’ve been having a blast. I plan to play through more of them before Baldur’s Gate 3 releases.

At this point, MMOs are in my blood. I’m not even going to attempt to forsake the genre. The field of choices of a new main game is enormous these days. I have been meditating for a month trying to come up with the top things I really want in an MMO. I’ve come up with some criteria and a list of games I delved into to see if they hit or miss the marks. The list in order of importance:

Double Dragon: Screaming Souls in Purgatory

So, we made it. We’re here. The big 40. Had I nice dinner last Sunday at Clay’s.

“There is no direct imprint of the pen to connect it with the Sheaffer company. It comes with a two-tone steel flexible fine nib with the Vacuum imprint. The official color was listed as “birds eye” pattern, but collectors affectionately call it ‘Screaming Souls in Purgatory.'”

Looking at the images now, I really do need a haircut. Not sure the long hair suits me anymore. Whatever, let’s talk about some of the gifts I received.
